DVD Preview

After many years Guruji agreed to put the correct method of Led practice to video production, and in 1993 six of his top students participated in a led series production of the practice of Ashtanga Yoga.

This was to become the clearest and most concisse way to observe how Guruji leads his students, and how the practitioners truly surrender to Breath, Drishiti, and Bandhas. This is a rare opportunity to be in the light of a Master and snippets of this production can be found rather easily on YouTube and on this web site.

While these videos were shot in 1993 by Yoga Works Production and are available in VHS format on amazon, we have tried to bring to life the magic of Guruji and the production he helped set in motion so many years ago.

Our intention is to offer the ashtanga community and the practitioners of any style the ability to hear and see how Guruji felt this practice should be taken, the breath count and the vinyasas between each posture. The incredible practitioners stand as a testament to the power of this ancient practice.

While these videos were shot in 1993 by Yoga Works Production and are available in VHS format on amazon, they are now available as DVDs.

The hope of this web site and its creators is that Ashtanga continues to be practiced and taught in the manner laid by Guruji. After years of practice, Gabriel Azoulay has realized how incredible and how accessible this practice is. These recordings exemplify this knowledge.

In the words of Guruji “Practice and all is coming.”
